How do I book an apartment?

Once we have confirmed the availability of the apartment you wish to rent, you will receive an e-mail containing instructions on how to proceed with booking and a booking form relative to the apartment of reference. From the moment you receive the provisional booking form you have 48 hours to send the completed module via fax or e-mail and to pay the 20% deposit.
The apartment may only be considered correctly booked once you have received booking confirmation from Rome Accommodation.

How do I pay the deposit?

Via bank transfer or credit card (Visa or Mastercard).

How do I pay the balance?

The balance is payable at the moment you check in and may be settled in cash, by credit card (Visa or Mastercard) or in Euro Travellers Cheques.

What does the price of the holiday include?

The price of the holiday includes electricity, gas, cleaning during and at the end of your stay, supply of bed linen and towels (with change of bed and bath linen if you are staying more than 6 nights) and VAT. If you are staying more than 10 nights, the apartment will be cleaned during your holiday.

How much do children pay?

Children under 7 years old pay half price. Children aged 7 or over pay the full adult price.

What extra services are available?

The following extra services are available for a fee:

Is it possible to book a taxi to/from the airport?

Our airport taxi service must be booked at least 48 hours prior to your arrival. The following prices are charged:

On booking the airport taxi service you will be requested to provide the following data: airline, flight number, airport, estimated time of arrival.
Your booking will be confirmed via e-mail.

Where will I find the keys to the apartment?

You will be given the keys at the apartment when you check in.

When can I check in? At what time will the apartment be ready?

Generally speaking you can check in any time after 1:00 pm.
If the apartment is ready beforehand, you may be able to check in earlier.
However, we cannot ensure that the apartment will be clean before by 4:00 pm.
Please inform us at least 7 days prior your arrival, via mail or telephone, of the time of your arrival at the apartment in such a way that we can arrange for someone to be waiting for you at the apartment when you arrive.

Is it possible to check-in after 10:00 pm or before 9:00 am?

Yes. A late night check in service is available an extra charge of € 20.

At what time are we expected to check-out?

You must check-out by 11:00 am of your day of departure.

Is it possible to leave luggage after 11:00 am on the day of departure?

Should no other guests be expected at your apartment on the day you check-out, you may leave your luggage in the apartment until 1 pm. If you wish to leave luggage or continue to use the apartment after 1 pm until 4 pm, a fee of € 50 will be charged.
Alternatively, you may leave your luggage at our offices in Via Uffici del Vicario 33 from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 6 pm at no extra cost.
For confirmation of whether it is possible to leave luggage in the apartment, please call our office the day before your departure (06 87450447 from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm from Monday to Friday or (++39) 348 8887369 at all other times).

Do I have to pay a cautionary deposit?

A cautionary deposit is requested for some apartments. The amount payable will be indicated in your e-mail booking confirmation.
The deposit must be paid in cash when you check in and will be fully returned at the end of your holiday less any charges for damage to the apartment and/or its furniture.

What penalties are payable in the case of cancellation of a booking?

The following penalty charges will be applied in the case of total or partial cancellation, change of dates, change in number of guests:

From the date of booking to up to 20 days prior to arrival 20% of total
From 19 to 7 days prior to arrival 30% of total
Less than 7 days prior to arrival 50% of total
After day of arrival 100% of total

Should Rome Accommodation be forced to cancel your booking, we will inform you immediately and propose an alternative holiday in an apartment with similar or better facilities.
Should this not be acceptable and we are unable to find a suitable alternative, Rome Accommodation will refund your deposit in full.

Will there be other be people in the apartment I have booked?

Absolutely not.
You will have exclusive use of the whole apartment including the kitchen and the bathrooms throughout your stay.

Can I rent an apartment for less than a week?

Yes. The minimum stay varies from 3 to 5 nights according to season (6 nights at New Year and Easter). Nevertheless you should bear in mind that holidays of one week or longer are more economical as the price per night is considerably lower.

Can I start my holiday on any day of the week?

Yes. There are no fixed change over days.

What are the standard bed sizes in Italy?

In Italy a double (matrimoniale) bed is normally 1.60 m wide, while a queen size (alla francese) bed is 1.40 m in width, a narrow double bed (una piazza e mezzo) has a width of 1.20 m and a single bed (singolo) is 80 cm wide. All Italian beds are 1.90 m long.

Will bed and bath linen be supplied?

Yes. All Rome Accommodation apartments are supplied with towels (3 per person) and bed linen. For stays of over 10 nights, a change of linen and an interim cleaning service are included in the cost of the holiday.

Will hairdryers and irons be supplied?

Yes. All Rome Accommodation apartments are supplied with a hairdryer, an iron and an ironing board.

Are pets allowed?

Small pets are allowed in some of the apartments although specific request should be made prior to booking.

What happens if we have a problem during our stay?

Rome Accommodation supports its guests throughout their stay and, in the event of any problem, a telephone number is always available.
In the case of problems caused by guests, the cost of the resolution of the problem will be charged to the guest.

Do you have a tourist guide service?

Yes. We offer our customers the chance to participate in individual guided tours and cooking courses in various languages. These services may be booked either prior to your holiday or during your stay. Do not hesitate to contact us for further information.
