Description

When Saint Francis of Assisi visited Rome in the 13th century he stayed at the site of this beautiful baroque church. The stone upon which the saint laid his head is still visible while the church is also home to The Ecstasy of Blessed Ludovica Albertoni, an incredible sculpture by Gian Lorenzo Bernini.
