Pincio

Description

Named after its 4th century owners, the Pincius family, this shady garden was designed by Giuseppe Valadier at the start of the 19th century. Located on the edge of Villa Borghese, the Pincio terrace is an ideal place for a stroll and has been appreciated by such figures as Keats, Strauss, Gandhi and Mussolini. Absolutely not to be missed is the view of Saint Peter’s church from the terrace.
