Home of the French Academy, Villa Medici was built between 1564 and 1575 on behalf of Cardinal Ricci da Montepulciano and sold to Ferdinando de Medici in 1576. Remaining the property of the Medici family until 1801, it was then acquired by Napoleon who transferred the French Academy there in 1803.
Non entrance fee charged, but entrance by appointment only
The place of interest can be reached underground railway by Piazza di Spagna.
