At a few steps and only two minutes
from the famous Piazza Campo de’
Fiori, in the heart of Rome’s
most central district, there is
the holiday house “Giubbonari”,
capable of accommodating from
2 to 4 persons for short stays.
The windows of the apartment open
out on to one of the most characteristic
pedestrian squares of central
Rome: the ever present Romanic
church and a little open air café,
make Largo dei Librari a genuine
corner of roman life.
The district
Campo de’ Fiori is one of
the most famous squares of the
city, well known for its traditional
open air market and also for the
characteristic boutiques, pizzerias
and restaurants with the traditional
roman cuisine. At a five minutes
walk, there are Piazza Farnese
with the palace having the same
name, dating back to the 16th
century, Via Giulia with its elegant
and aristocratic houses and antiques
workshops, the famous Piazza Navona,
the Pantheon, the Campidoglio.
Easy to reach on foot are also
the Trevi Fountain, Saint Peter
Church, Castel S. Angelo, the
Roman Forum and the Coliseum.
We are right in the heart of the
historical centre of the capital
city, in a secure and peaceful
area.
The apartment
It is placed on the first floor
of an 18th century building, just
beside the church. The photo shows
the two windows of the apartment,
and how they are incredibly near
to the facade of the church of
Santa Barbara dei Librai of the
11th century. The product that
we offer has a high historical
value.
The two rooms apartment is
about 50 square meters and was
restored in November 2002. At
the entrance, a small area connects
the two rooms of the house:
the night zone consisting of
a double queen sized bedroom
full of light and the day zone
that also opens out on to Largo dei Librari. The living room
is furnished with a table for
four persons, a large bookcase
that surrounds the entrance
door, a TV zone and a comfortable
double sofa bed.
The large window renders the room
very light and airy. The kitchen
is well equipped, and beside the
common appliances there is also
the washing machine available.
The bedroom has a double bed and
a large wardrobe. All the furnishings
– the curtains, bedspread,
headboard and pictures –
are simple and in good taste.
The bathroom, entirely renewed
in November 2002, with its elegant
features also offers the use
of a full-length bath.
The house is equipped with
electric independent heating
system and fans for the summer;
the thick walls, a characteristic
of the ancient buildings, enable
indoor temperatures to be comfortable
and pleasant throughout winter
and summer. Bed linen and towels
will be provided to our guests.
