Just a few metres from Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere, the spacious studio flat is able to accommodate 2 to 4 persons for short breaks in the heart of the lanes which characterize one of the most famous areas of Rome. The ground floor flat is located in Via del Mattonato.
Just a short walk away are the church of S. Maria in Trastevere and, over the bridge, Piazza Farnese, Campo dei Fiori, the Pantheon, the ghetto, the Campidoglio and Piazza Navona. St. Peter's church is just 15 minutes away on foot. The area is well-served by public transport with a bus terminal in Piazza Gioacchino Belli and a N° 8 tram station nearby. Built during the Jubilee year, the N° 8 tram line takes passengers to Largo Argentina and the rest of the city centre.
The apartment
The apartment is situated on the ground floor of an historic palazzo just 200 metres from Piazza di Santa Maria in Trastevere. The spacious 40 m² living environment has two raised areas for sleeping and a bathroom with shower/bath. The kitchen is tucked away under the larger of the two sleeping areas. The living area is fitted with a single sofa bed and a dining table. The kitchen has all the equipment necessary to cook a full meal: pots and pans, crockery and cutlery, a large fridge, a freezer, an oven and a hob. A washing machine is also available.
Guests may also use a 27 m² cellar joined to the rest of the house via a spiral staircase (as can be seen in the photo).

From Leonardo da Vinci
- Fiumicino airport to the flat there is a light railway service from the airport to Trastevere Station. The N° 8 tram goes from the station to Piazza Sonnino approximately 700 metres from the flat. Take Via della Lungaretta as far as Piazza di Santa Maria in Trastevere and then turn right into Via della Scala. Take the first left (Via del Cedro). Via del Mattonato (not to be confused with Vicolo del Mattonato) is a few metres ahead on the right.
From Ciampino airport,
take the CO.TRA.L bus near the
Bus Arrivals to the “Anagnina”
underground station, from which
you should then take the underground
to Roma Termini station. From
here take the N° 64 bus to Largo Argentina. Take Via Arenula to Piazza Sonnino approximately 700 metres from the flat. Take Via della Lungaretta as far as Piazza di Santa Maria in Trastevere and then turn right into Via della Scala. Take the first left (Via del Cedro).
