The area
The historic palazzos, ancient churches, high fashion boutiques and top class restaurants with which the area between the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain is populated make it one of the most exclusive parts of the city.
The apartment is located in a prestigious turn of the century palazzo which has just been restructured with the addition of a lift, a porter’s lodge and a disabled access.
The ground floor the building is occupied by the Rome office of the famous New York GAGOSIAN ART GALLERY.
The rest of the city can be easily reached using the underground railway service and, indeed, Barberini underground railway station lies just 300 metres from the flat.
The apartment
Recently restructured and tastefully refurnished, this quiet, bright, luxury apartment is located on the second floor of an early 20th century palazzo.
The flat is entirely decorated with bespoke modern furnishings such as top quality marble floors, leather headboards and double glazed windows framed in lacquered wood, all of which offer the utmost in comfort. The apartment is also served by state-of-the-art gas, electricity and water systems.
The spacious living area is furnished with an antique wooden table, an LCD flat screen television, a double sofa-bed (160 cm x 190 cm) and two single sofa-beds.
The separate kitchen area is furnished in a modern functional style and is fully equipped with a dishwasher, a washing machine and a microwave oven.
The sleeping area is composed of two bedrooms: one furnished with a double bed and en suite bathroom with shower; and the other supplied with two large single beds (120 cm x 190 cm). in total, the flat has two bathrooms, both finished in pink marble, one of which contains a Jacuzzi.
The autonomous central heating system means the temperature of the apartment can be controlled by its occupants, while the boiler provides a continuous supply of hot water. The apartment may also be air conditioned with the temperature of each room being controlled separately.
In order to ensure a comfortable stay, we suggest that this apartment is used for a maximum of 6 people (using the double sofa bed in the sitting room). Nevertheless, in special circumstances, on request it is possible to sleep a further two guests on the single sofa beds in the sitting room.
In any case, a further 4 people may be accommodated in apartment AP38 SPAGNA DELUXE 2 located on the floor below.
How to get there
BY AIR: From Leonardo Da Vinci Airport (Fiumicino) it is possible to take a taxi straight to the apartment with the journey lasting approximately 45 minutes. Alternatively it is possible to take the light railway service from the airport to Roma Termini railway station (€9 per person) and then either a taxi to the apartment or Bus 175 for 7 stops alighting at TRITONE/FONTANA TREVI bus stop which lies approximately 100 metres from the apartment. Similarly from Roma Termini railway station it is possible to take the underground (Line A) for 2 stops alighting at “Barberini” station and then walking along Via del Tritone as far as the junction with Via Crispi. The train+ taxi/bus/metro journey takes approximately 1 hour.
From Ciampino airport take the CO.TRA.L. bus service from the bus stop outside the Arrivals Hall to "Anagnina" underground station and then the underground railway to Roma Termini station and then either a taxi to the apartment or Bus 175 for 7 stops alighting at TRITONE/FONTANA TREVI bus stop which lies approximately 100 metres from the apartment. Similarly from Roma Termini railway station it is possible to take the underground (Line A) for 2 stops alighting at “Barberini” station and then walking along Via del Tritone as far as the junction with Via Crispi.
BY TRAIN:
From Roma Termini railway station take either a taxi to the apartment or Bus 175 for 7 stops alighting at TRITONE/FONTANA TREVI bus stop which lies approximately 100 metres from the apartment. Similarly from Roma Termini railway station it is possible to take the underground (Line A) railway service for 2 stops, alighting at “Barberini” station and then walking along Via del Tritone as far as the junction with Via Crispi. The journey takes approximately 20 minutes.
From Roma Tiburtina railway station take the underground railway service as far as Roma Termini and then either follow the above directions or take a taxi straight to the apartment.
BY CAR:
The apartment is located within the restricted traffic area (ZTL - Zona a Traffico Limitato). Guests wishing to drive up to the apartment should click here www.atac.roma.it for information regarding the area covered by the ZTL scheme and the hours in which it is possible to access the city centre. Parking is available in Ludovisi underground car park in Villa Borghese just a short walk from the apartment.
