Description

The district

Holiday home for two or three persons, to let from 3 nights to 1 month, it is located only 50 meters away from Piazza Navona, in Vicolo della Cancelleria, characteristic and silent street nearby Corso Vittorio.

We are exactely in the heart of the old Roman city, the house is very well connected by public transport to all the other parts of the “Eternal City". In the area there are many boutiques, restaurants and night clubs.

In 5 minutes walking you can reach Campo dei Fiori, Piazza Farnese and the Pantheon; in only 10 minutes Trevi's Fountain and St. Peter's Church.

The Apartment

It is a recently restored apartment, made up of a cosy and sunny elegantly furnished 30 sq.m. space, on the third floor of an ancient building.

The flat is a very quiet and comfortable bed sit furnished with a double bed (queen size) plus a rollaway bed for the third person, air conditioning, a satellite TV set, a stereo-cd, an en-suite toilet and shower, a well-equipped kitchenette.

The beamed ceiling and wooden furniture make for an intimate and romantic atmosphere. From the windows and the small balcony of the bathroom you can have a view on the roman roofs.

Bed and bath linen are provided free-of-charge. English, Spanish and French are spoken. Guests will be given detailed maps of Rome and all the information necessary for a pleasant stay in Rome or eventual excursions outside the city.

How to get there

From the airport

Taxi service:

Upon request a driver will pick you up at the airports of Fiumicino or Ciampino and drive you to your apartment. You can request the service by sending us an e-mail including your flight details.

From Leonardo da Vinci - Fiumicino airport

Take the city train to Stazione Termini, from where you can take the bus number 64 in the direction of St.Peter’s Church, stopping at Corso Vittorio Emanuele, 2 stops after Largo Argentina. Vicolo della Cancelleria is the small street on the right, cornering Corso Vittorio. The total duration of the trip from the airport to the apartment is about 40 minutes by taxi and about 1 hour and 1/2 with train and buses.

From Ciampino airport

Take the CO.TRA.L bus near the Bus Arrivals to the “Anagnina” underground station, from which you should then take the underground to Roma Termini station. From here you can take the bus number 64 in the direction of St.Peter’s Church, stopping at Corso Vittorio Emanuele, 2 stops after Largo Argentina. Vicolo della Cancelleria is the small street on the right, cornering Corso Vittorio. The total duration of the trip from the airport to the apartment is about 40 minutes by taxi and about 1 hour and 1/2 with train and buses.

From the train station

From Termini Station you can either take a taxi to the apartmentbor the bus number 64 in the direction of St.Peter’s Church, stopping at Corso Vittorio Emanuele, 2 stops after Largo Argentina. Vicolo della Cancelleria is the small street on the right, cornering Corso Vittorio. The total duration of the trip from the station to the apartment is about 15 minutes by taxi and about 30 minutes by bus.

Exactly 2 years ago we wrote that we could come again. And here we are! But we're not sure we'll be able to wait for another 2 years before coming back. The apartment is so lovely and comfortable, we just feel at home! So we are already planning for the next visit!

Ce n'est pourtant pas la première fois que je viens à Rome mais c'est à chaque fois une autre cité éternelle que je découvre. Cette fois-ci c'est dans un nid perché sous les toits que j'ai pu apprécier tout ce "musée" à ciel ouvert: les grandes et petites places, les terrasses, le jardins, les musées, il SOLE, la foule de Via del Corso "il sabato sera"...La Piazza Navona est ma préférée depuis toujours et le restera.
