The district

The flat is situated in Via Leonina in the extremely central Rione Monti district of Rome. Rione Monti is the oldest district in Rome and lies just a short walk from the Roman Forum, the Colosseum and Piazza Venezia. Its lanes and streets are filled with restaurants, wine bars and craft shops and it is one of the most lively and picturesque areas of the city. From the flat it is easy to reach the city centre on foot or using public transport: Cavour underground station is just 100 metres from the flat while the 117 electric bus service to the Spanish Steps and Via del Corso stops nearby.

The apartment

Located on the third floor of an early 18th century building, the prestigious 65 m² flat has been recently restructured and fitted with air conditioning. The three-roomed flat overlooks the characteristic buildings of Via Leonina and can sleep up to 4 people.
The flat is composed of a bright airy sitting/dining room with a frescoed ceiling, furnished with a large dining table, sofa, LCD TV and hi-fi. The double bedroom is fitted with two single beds and has parquet flooring and is extremely quiet.
The second sleeping area lies at the top of a wrought iron spiral staircase. The specially constructed deck is fitted with a single bed and a pouf which can be easily transformed in to another single bed.
The kitchen is fully fitted with washing machine and dishwasher, while the bathroom has both a shower and a bath.
The flat has autonomous central heating and bed and bathroom linen are supplied.

From the airport

Taxi service

Upon request a driver will pick you up at the airports of Fiumicino or Ciampino and drive you to your apartment.You can request the service by sending us an e-mail including your flight details.

From Leonardo da Vinci - Fiumicino airport

Take the city train to Stazione Termini, from where you can take the underground-line B or bus number 75 or 204 up to “Metro Cavour”. After getting out from the underground cross via Cavour and go down the stairs that will take you to Piazza della Suburra. Follow Via Leonina

From Ciampino airport

Take the COTRAL bus near the Bus Arrivals to the “Anagnina” underground station, from which you should then take the underground to Roma Termini station. From here you can take the underground-line B or bus number 75 or 204 up to “Metro Cavour”. After getting out from the underground cross via Cavour and go down the stairs that will take you to Piazza della Suburra. Follow Via Leonina.

From the train station

From Termini Station you can take a taxi or take the underground-line B or bus number 75 or 204 up to “Metro Cavour”. After getting out from the underground cross via Cavour and go down the stairs that will take you to Piazza della Suburra. Follow Via Leonina.

We have enjoyed the apartment very much. It is easy to get to know the real Rome on foot when you are well located. Our children adored the balcony bedroom and the facilities made it easy to prepare meals for a special diet as we need.
