Description

The Area

The centre of the city of Rome is a picturesque area of cobbled lanes, lively squares, fashionable bars and renaissance palazzos as well as the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Campo de’ Fiori, the Spanish Steps and an infinite series of monuments, museums and churches containing many of greatest masterpieces of Michelangelo, Raphael, Caravaggio and Bernini. The city centre is also the centre of Italian political life, and indeed the bars and restaurants surrounding Montecitorio and the Senate are often frequented by well known local and national politicians.
In ancient times, the area around Piazza Navona and the Pantheon was known as Campo Marzio, and was used as an outlying arena for sports and military exercises. However it was the 17th century Baroque masters - Gian Lorenzo Bernini and Francesco Borromini – that gave the area its current appearance. Indeed, their churches, fountains and palazzos still inspire the same awe and wonder as they did when they were first built 350 years ago.
The area is well furnished with small restaurants offering typical Roman cuisine and bars in which to stop for a while after visiting one of the city’s monuments. The most famous bars in the area are Caffé Sant’Eustachio and Gelateria Giolitti, both of which are located close to our apartment.

The Apartment

Located in the centre of the city, in a peaceful side street close to both the Pantheon and the Italian Parliament, the third floor apartment – which has no lift - offers delightful views over the red tiled roofs of Rome. Indeed, thanks to its position, the apartment is both bright and quiet. The apartment is composed of a large sitting room with kitchenette, plasma TV and free Wi-fi internet as well as a single sofa bed. The first of the two bedrooms is furnished with a double bed and has an en suite bathroom while the second bedroom has two single beds (although a third single bed may be added on request). One of the two bathrooms is fitted with a shower, while the other has a bath tub. The apartment can sleep up to 6 people.

The apartment also has air conditioning, a washing machine and an autonomous heating system.

This simply but stylishly furnished apartment is fitted with all mod cons and offers the perfect answer to visitors looking for accommodation in the heart of the city of Rome.

From the airport

Taxi service

Upon request a driver will pick you up at the airports of Fiumicino or Ciampino and drive you to your apartment. You can request the service by sending us an e-mail including your flight details.

From Leonardo da Vinci Fiumicino airport

Take the light railway to Termini railway station and then bus N° 70 to CLODIO. Alight at SENATO bus stop in Corso Rinascimento and take Via di Sant’Agostino and Via delle Coppelle on foot as far as Via della Maddalena. Cross Via della Maddalena and turn left into Vicolo della Guardiola.

From Ciampino airport

Take the CO.TRA.L. coach service from the bus station in front of the Arrivals hall (Arrivi Bus) to "Anagnina" underground station and then the underground railway to Termini railway station.

From the station

From Termini Station you can either take a taxi to the apartment or the bus number 70 to CLODIO. Alight at SENATO bus stop in Corso Rinascimento and take Via di Sant’Agostino and Via delle Coppelle on foot as far as Via della Maddalena. Cross Via della Maddalena and turn left into Vicolo della Guardiola.
