The District

Located in one of the most characteristic lanes of the pedestrian-only area of Trastevere, this cosy apartment is extremely quiet and can sleep up to 3 people. Access to the flat is via an independent street-level entrance.

The Trastevere district is characterised by the lively night-life. Its medieval small roads in which you can breath the authentic popular mood exalted by poets like Belli and Trilussa, contain restaurants, cafes, and piano bar, but also owns plenty of high artistic value monuments like the churches of Santa Maria in Trastevere endowed with the most important medieval mosaics of Rome, Santa Cecilia, San Crisogono, the ancient San Cosimato hospital with its Claustrum besides the principles palaces Corsini, the Farnesina with the Raffaello paintings, the botanical garden, the several libraries and art galleries.

The Apartment

Located on the ground floor of a 19th century building, with an independent street-level entrance and windows overlooking Vicolo della Torre, one of the most peaceful lanes in the heart of the pedestrian-only centre of Trastevere, the flat is composed of a sitting room with kitchenette, a double bedroom and en suite bathroom.

The recently restructured apartment has been redecorated with great attention to detail, using the highest quality materials. As testified by the leather sofas, the wooden fittings in the kitchenette and the fact that the original wooden beams of the ceiling are still clearly visible, the flat has been furnished with great taste and is extremely welcoming.

The bathroom has also been carefully furnished with modern fittings and a large shower with a sliding door.

The apartment is fitted with air conditioning and an autonomous heating system, wi-fi facilities, flat screen satellite TV in the bedroom and in the sitting room, safebox and a hi-fi and a DVD player.

Thanks to the presence of a single sofa-bed in the sitting room, the apartment can sleep up to three people.

How to get there

From the airport

Taxi service

Upon request a driver will pick you up at the airports of Fiumicino or Ciampino and drive you to your apartment. You can request the service by sending us an e-mail including your flight details.

From Leonardo da Vinci - Fiumicino airport

Take the city train to Stazione Trastevere, from where you you can either take a taxi to the apartment, or Tram No. 8, up to the Belli stop. The trip by train + taxi or tram takes about 1 hour.

From Ciampino airport

Take the COTRAL bus near the Bus Arrivals to the “Anagnina” underground station, from which you should then take the underground to Roma Termini station. From here you can take a taxi up to the apartment or the bus H up to Sonnino/S. Gallicano stop. The trip by bus takes about 1 hour and ½ from the airport.

From the train station

From Termini Station you can take a taxi up to the apartment or the bus H up to Sonnino/S. Gallicano stop. Taxi ride takes around 20 minutes, 30 minutes by bus plus streetcar.

El apartamento es una preciosidad, situado en una de las mejores zonas de Roma, esta rodeado de magnificos restaurantes y locales. Las distancias a las zonas importantes no son largas, nosotros nos desplazamos andando a todos los lugares. Limpio y con todo tipo de equipamiento. This apartment was located in Trastavere in old Rome. It was ideally located as we were able to walk to everything, including the Colosseum, the Roman forum, the Vatican, the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps. It was also close to several wonderful restaurants and outdoor cafes, small shops selling jewellery, clothing, blown glass, etc. The apartment is very clean and surprisingly quiet since you were so close to all amenities. It was very tastefully decorated and the landlord was more than helpful in telling us how to get around Rome and arranging private transfers for us. Staying in this apartment we were treated to the very best of Rome. If we are lucky enough to be able to visit the beautiful city of Rome again, we will certainly stay at this apartment and will recommend it to any of our friends who are visiting Rome.

La estancia en el apartamento ha sido muy agradable y satisfactoria. Romula y Claudio nos han acogido con mucha amabilidad y excelente trato, ayudándonos en todo lo que hemos necesitado. Una pequeña avería imprevista fue resuelta con gran rapidez. El apartamento es totalmente nuevo (fuimos los primeros clientes) y completamente equipado, muy limpio y con una bonita decoración. Situado en plena zona de ambiente, tienes todo tipo de restaurantes y lugares de ocio literalmente a un paso ya que está situado en un pequeño callejón trasversal de una de las principales vías peatonales del Trastevere. El barrio es encantador y típico romano y está muy bien situado respecto a las zonas de interés de la ciudad: hemos hecho todos los desplazamientos andando pero tienes a 100 m. parada de tranvía y autobuses desde la que puedes llegar a cualquier parte de la ciudad. Las fotos del exterior pueden dar una idea equivocada del entorno ya que el barrio es muy acogedor, asimismo el interior es más bonito en la realidad que en las fotos. El apartamento tiene dos televisores de pantalla plana: uno grande en el salón y otro pequeño en la habitación. En resumen, una estupenda estancia que seguro repetiremos. Gracias por vuestra atención y hasta pronto.
