The Area

Providing not only the setting of such iconic works as William Wyler’s Roman Holiday and D’Annunzio’s Child of Pleasure, but also offering an unrivalled backdrop to Rome’s annual fashion show, the Spanish Steps are one of the most elegant and romantic symbols of Rome and the dolce vita. Indeed, it is here that visitors to Rome will find the smartest boutiques and designer labels in the city, with the shops of Via Condotti and Via del Babuino offering the very finest in luxury fashions, although more affordable shopping is also possible in the nearby Via del Corso.

Of course, it is not only the shopping opportunities which make this corner of Rome so attractive. Indeed, the Barcaccia fountain, the Trevi fountain, the Ara Pacis monument, the Galleria Borghese, the Pantheon and Via Veneto are just some of the famous sites in the area, which is also just a few minutes’ walk from Villa Borghese, one of the most beautiful parks in Rome and the perfect place for a picnic.

The area is also well connected to the rest of the city thanks to the location of Piazza di Spagna underground station right next to the Spanish Steps.

The Apartment

Located on the second floor of an elegant palazzo (with no lift) on the corner of Via della Croce and Piazza di Spagna, a pedestrianized area which is completely isolated from the noise of traffic, the apartment is composed of a large sitting room, a kitchen, three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The sitting room immediately takes us back in time to the aristocratic gatherings of the 19th century with its airy atmosphere, lacunar ceiling, finely inlaid wooden furniture, crystal chandeliers, huge dining table, antique paintings and Persian rugs, while the kitchen is divided into two areas: a fully equipped cooking area fitted with an oven and a dishwasher and a breakfast area furnished with a round table and chairs.

Two of the three bedrooms are triple rooms, each fitted with one double and one single bed, although an extra single bed may be added to each of them, while the third bedroom is located a little way down a corridor and is fitted with a single bed. Both bathrooms are fitted with shower. The apartment is also equipped with a washing machine, air conditioning, free WI FI Internet access and an autonomous heating system. The windows of the sitting room and the triple bedrooms overlook Via della Croce, while the windows of the single room look onto an inner courtyard.

Surrounded by carriages, noble palazzos and traditional craft workshops, the apartment will undoubtedly take you back in time to an age of yesteryear.

From the airport

Taxi service

On request a driver will pick you up from Fiumicino or Ciampino airport and accompany you to the apartment.

From “Leonardo da Vinci” – Fiumicino Airport

Take the light railway service to Termini Station and then the underground (Linea A) towards Battistini, alighting after three stops at “Spagna” station. As you come out of the station take Via della Croce on the right.

From Ciampino Airport

Take the CO.TRA.L. coach service from the Arrivals Hall to "Anagnina" underground station and then the underground railway service towards “Battistini”, alighting at “Spagna” station. As you come out of the station take Via della Croce on the right.

From the railway station

From Termini Railway Station: take the underground (Linea A) service towards Battistini, alighting after three stops at “Spagna” station. As you come out of the station take Via della Croce on the right.
