The area

Modern and dynamic, the Flaminio area of Rome, just to the north of the city centre, is not only a residential district but also, thanks to a recently completed requalification programme, a cultural and sporting centre of reference.

Located just a few yards from the apartment are two of Rome’s most famous modern constructions: Maxxi – National Museum of 21st Century Art, a building designed by Zaha Hadid; and Parco della Musica Auditorium, an arts complex designed by Renzo Piano and home to Rome Film Festival. On the opposite bank of the River Tiber lies the Foro Italico sports centre which includes the Stadio Olimpico football stadium, a swimming pool complex and tennis courts and is the most important sports centre in Italy. Indeed, as well as the Serie A football matches of the city’s two leading teams (AS Roma and SS Lazio), the centre is also home to such important events as the Italian International Tennis Championship and concerts by leading Italian and international pop and rock stars.

In front of the stadium, the River Tiber has recently been crossed by a new bridge, Ponte della Musican which was designed by a leading international studio of architects and is the first work of contemporary architecture to ever cross the Roman river. Also close to the apartment are Teatro Olimpico, a theatre famous for its musical productions, the Stadio Flaminio rugby stadium in which the Six Nations cup is disputed throughout the winter and Ponte Milvio, an ancient bridge on which couples seal their love by locking a padlock to one of the lampposts and throwing way the key, as well as many fashionable night spots.
The centre of Rome is within easy reach thanks to the proximity of numerous bus and tram services to Piazza del Popolo.

The apartment

Located on the second floor of an elegant condominium (with lift) in the Flaminio district of Rome, the bright, spacious apartment is has been recently renovated and is now decorated in a youthful, modern style.

The spacious sitting room is furnished with a comfortable double sofa bed which can sleep two people, while the next door kitchen is fully fitted with fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave oven and all necessary utensils. A corridor leads to the two bedrooms, one furnished with twin beds and the other with a double bed (with ensuite bathroom with shower). The apartment also has another bathroom with bathtub/shower. Both bedrooms are equipped with ceiling fans.
A seventh guest may sleep on a single sofa-bed in the sitting room.
The apartment also has a washing machine and free Wi-fi.
All the bedrooms overlook the leafy Via del Vignola.

The apartment is extremely well located for exploring both the ancient city centre and, leaving aside the beaten tourist track, the more modern suburbs of the city real and proper.

By air

Taxi service

Upon request a driver will pick you up at the airports of Fiumicino or Ciampino and drive you to your apartment. You can request the service by sending us an e-mail including your flight details.

From Leonardo da Vinci – Fiumicino airport

Take the light railway service to Stazione Termini railway station and the Linea A underground service towards Battistini. Alight at Piazzale Flaminio station and take the N° 2 tram service to the end of the line in Piazza Mancini. Walk down Via del Pinturicchio and at the end of the street turn left into Via del Vignola. The apartment is next to Teatro Olimpico theatre.

From Ciampino airport

Take the CO.TRA.L. coach service from the arrivals hall (Arrivi Bus stop) to Anagnina underground station and then the underground service towards Battistini. Alight at Piazzale Flaminio station and take the N° 2 tram service to the end of the line in Piazza Mancini. Walk down Via del Pinturicchio and at the end of the street turn left into Via del Vignola. The apartment is next to Teatro Olimpico theatre.

By train

From Termini railway station take the Linea A underground service towards Battistini. Alight at Piazzale Flaminio station and take the N° 2 tram service to the end of the line in Piazza Mancini. Walk down Via del Pinturicchio and at the end of the street turn left into Via del Vignola. The apartment is next to Teatro Olimpico theatre.

By car

The apartment may be reached by car. Meter parking is available in blue parking spaces throughout the local neighbourhood.
