The Area

Surrounded by some of Rome’s most famous places of interest - Campo de’ Fiori, Castel Sant’Angelo, Saint Peter’s Church and Piazza Navona, to name but a few - Via dei Cimatori is a quiet, almost traffic-free street in the very centre of the city. The historic Via Giulia onto which it backs is one of the oldest roads in Rome, a street which measures exactly one kilometre in length and was designed by Bramante and Michelangelo in order to join the centre of Rome to Saint Peter’s church and Trastevere on the other side of the River Tiber. Via Giulia is lined with exclusive renaissance palazzos, many of which are decorated with plaques explaining the immense history in which the area is seeped.
Located in the very centre of Rome, the apartment is perfectly positioned for exploring the city on foot, although numerous bus services stop just a few metres from the flat for those wishing to venture a little further afield.

The apartment

The recently restructured apartment is located on the first floor (no lift) of a 17th century palazzo in the centre of the city of Rome. It overlooks an inner courtyard and is thus completely unaffected by the noise of the street.
The spacious sitting room is fitted with two sofa beds (one double, one single) and a fully equipped kitchenette with oven, dishwasher and fridge as well as all necessary utensils.
The bedroom is furnished with a double bed and the bathroom is fitted with a bathtub.
Both the sitting room and the bedroom have air conditioning.
The apartment still has its original terracotta floor and wooden beams which contrast to great effect with the modern furnishings (leather upholstered bed, black glass dining table) to create a characteristic and welcoming atmosphere.
The delightful ambience of the streets of the centre of Rome make this apartment the perfect base for a quiet, romantic holiday.

How to get there

From the airport

Taxi service

Upon request a driver will pick you up at the airports of Fiumicino or Ciampino and drive you to your apartment. You can request the service by sending us an e-mail including your flight details.

From Leonardo da Vinci - Fiumicino airport

Take the city train to Stazione Termini, from where you can either take a taxi to the apartment or the bus number 64 (be aware of pickpockets in the bus!) in the direction of St.Peter’s Church, stopping at Corso Vittorio Emanuele, Largo Tassoni square (four stops after Largo Argentina). The stop is only 50 meters from the apartment, Via dei Cimatori is located on the opposite side of Corso Vittorio Emanuele. The total duration of the trip from the airport to the apartment is about 40 minutes by taxi and about 1 hour and 1/2 with train and buses.

From Ciampino airport

Take the CO.TRA.L bus near the Bus Arrivals to the “Anagnina” underground station, from which you should then take the underground to Roma Termini station. From here you can either take a taxi to the apartment or the bus number 64 (be aware of pickpockets in the bus!) in the direction of St.Peter’s Church, stopping at Corso Vittorio Emanuele, Largo Tassoni square (four stops after Largo Argentina). The stop is only 50 meters from the apartment, Via dei Cimatori is located on the opposite side of Corso Vittorio Emanuele. The total duration of the trip from the airport to the apartment is about 40 minutes by taxi and about 1 hour and 1/2 with buses.

From the station

From Termini Station you can either take a taxi to the apartment or the bus number 64 (be aware of pickpockets in the bus!) in the direction of St.Peter’s Church, stopping at Corso Vittorio Emanuele, Largo Tassoni square (four stops after Largo Argentina). The stop is only 50 meters from the apartment, Via dei Cimatori is located on the opposite side of Corso Vittorio Emanuele. The total duration of the trip from the station to the apartment is about 15 minutes by taxi and about 1/2 hour by bus.
