The heart of Rome is famous for its narrow lanes leading from the market of Campo de’ Fiori and Piazza Navona to Trastevere and the Jewish Ghetto along which ancient craft shops alternate with noble palazzos and whose every corner hides a scene so picturesque as to quicken the heart of anyone who stumbles upon it. Indeed, the Arco degli Acetari in Via del Pellegrino, the majestic Piazza Navona and the sunset observed from Ponte Sant’Angelo with the dome of Saint Peter’s church in the background are sights which no visitor to Rome will ever forget.
Located right in the centre of the city, just a few yards from Piazza di Campo dei Fiori and a few minutes’ stroll from all the most important places of interest in Rome, the apartment lies within easy walking distance of such places of historic interest as Piazza Navona, Castel Sant’Angelo, Saint Peter’s Church and the Pantheon.
The apartment is situated on the second floor of an 17th century palazzo of great architectural prestige, fronted by a magnificent façade whose faded frescoes are rare examples of the finest 17th century Italian artwork.
The apartment is composed of a spacious open plan kitchen fitted with all mod cons including dishwasher, fridge, freezer, traditional oven and microwave, two double bedrooms, one of which has an en suite bathroom with shower, a bathroom with shower and a sitting room with double sofa bed (160 cm x 190 cm). The apartment can sleep up to 6 guests.
The apartment is also furnished with free WI FI access, air conditioning, washing machine and two TVs, one in the sitting room and the other in the master bedroom.
The apartment has been recently restored. During the restoration work, many features of the ancient building were rediscovered and enhanced. Indeed, the lacunar ceiling of the bedroom decorated with tiny floral frescoes and, above all, the wall of Roman brickwork which divides the kitchen from the sitting room are just two examples of the original features of the apartment which have been recently brought back to light. The wall between the kitchen and the sitting room is also decorated with an original stone frieze dating back to Roman times, presumably the remains of the decoration of a temple.
In order to ensure the peace and quiet of the guests, all the windows of the apartment have been fitted with double glazing.
The details of the original structure of this highly prestigious apartment contrast perfectly with the modern interior decoration which, thanks to the use of subtle shades of white, gives the entire environment an extremely bright and airy ambiance.
Our AP07 CAMPO DE FIORI and AP57 CAMPO DE FIORI 3 partment, which can both accommodate up to 5 people, are also located in the same palazzo. It is thus possible for groups or families who wish to visit Rome together whilst nevertheless retaining their independence and privacy to rent two or all three of these apartments together.
