The District

Our apartment is located in the historical district of Esquilino. It is impossible to talk about this district without mentioning its pulsating heart, represented by the Piazza Vittoria which is famous for its fascinating arcades and its colourful market. In recent years the market has been moved inside a roofed building, but this doesn’t diminish the fascination in the least. This is one of the most characteristic markets in the city and should definitely be included in your sightseeing. Talking about the Esquilino today is equivalent to multi-ethnicity. Walking through the streets carrying names of Kings and Princes you can meet people from all continents of the world; Africa and Asia, as well as Europe and America.

We are in a very central zone, well connected through public transportation. The main station Termini and even two subway stations (Termini and Vittorio Emanuele) can be found only a few hundred metres away. It is possible to reach the Colosseum and the Fori Imperiali, the basilica of San Giovanni in Lateran and the basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore by foot.

The apartment

We are on the 5th floor (with elevator) of a completely restored manorial palazzo from the middle of the 19th century in Via Principe Amedeo. Consisting of a matrimonial bedroom, two bedrooms with four beds and two bathrooms with shower, this is a rather large living space. The living room with a kitchenette, a dining table large enough to accommodate all apartment guests, and a matrimonial sofa-bed for two people complete the ambience.
It is a recently restored, very spacious apartment, in which antique furniture of the end of the 19th century merges with a more modern and functional one. During the restoration the antique pavements with hexagonal tiles, as used to be common once, have been preserved.

The apartment is very bright and equipped with a washing machine, a dishwasher, TV and air conditioning in all bedrooms and in the living room, and free internet connection. The bedrooms face the main road, but we are in a very quiet environment since the windows consist of double-paned glass.
The apartment can accommodate up to 12 people and there is really nothing missing to guarantee our guests an unforgettable stay in Rome.

From the Airport

Taxi Service

Upon request a driver will pick you up at the airports Fiumicino or Ciampino and accompany you all the way to the apartment. You can request this service via e-mail by stating the details of your flight.

From the Airport “Leonardo da Vinci” - Fiumicino

Take the train to the main station Termini. Then take the subway (metro) A in the direction ANAGNINA and get off on the next stop, “Vittorio Emanuele”. Walk along Via Rattazzi and immediately turn left into Via Principe Amedeo. You can also reach the apartment by foot, as it is located only 800 metres away from the main station Termini.

From the Airport Ciampino

Take the CO.TRA.L bus at “Arrivi Bus” (bus arrival) directed to the subway station ANAGNINA, and then take the subway in the direction of ROMA TERMINI. From here take the subway A in the direction of ANAGNINA and get off on the next stop, “Vittorio Emanuele”. Walk along Via Rattazzi and immediately turn left into Via Principe Amedeo. You can also reach the apartment by foot, as it is located only 800 metres away from the main station Termini.

The apartment is marvellous. It offers everything you'd wish for a nice and relaxed holiday. The rooms were clean and tidy. Furniture is quite modern and the rooms are big enough for 6-10 persons. The kitchen is equipped surprisingly good, the dishwasher was a lifesaver. Wifi worked good and was very useful for searching a restaurant or bar. The apartment is located near Place Vittorio Emanuele and Termini train station. It is easy to find. It is placed in some sort of chinatown of rome, so you have to look somewhere else for real italian food. But it takes just 3 minutes to the first pizzeria or the metro station. Check in worked fast and easy without any complications. I definitively can recommend this apartment for smaller groups. Even for longer stays.
