The vacation apartment Testaccio is located in the picturesque Testaccio district in Rome.
Testaccio area is famous for its many hosterias and trattorias where you can taste the authentic Roman cuisine.
Cozy and welcoming, this holiday apartment is divided into two main areas, both of which are furnished in a practical modern style.
The holiday apartment consists of a double bedroom, a living room with kitchenette, and a bathroom with shower and it has only recently been renovated and has a modern vintage-industrial style.
The day area is composed of a sitting room with double sofa bed (190 cm x 160 cm) and a kitchenette. The kitchen is fitted with microwave oven, fridge, gas stove and all necessary pots, pans, crockery and cutlery. The sitting room has satellite television.
The bedroom and living room are separated by the bathroom which also offers more privacy to all the guests using the apartment. The bedroom is furnished with a double bed and a large wardrobe.
The bathroom is decorated in shades of white and aqua-green and is fitted with a high pressure power shower.
The apartment has air conditioning, washing machine, safe, an autonomous heating system and free WI FI Internet access in order to ensure maximum comfort.
Upon request a driver will pick you up at the airports of Fiumicino or Ciampino and drive you to your apartment. You can request the service by sending us an e-mail including your flight details.
Take the city train to Stazione Ostiense. From here go along Viale delle Cave Ardeatine, cross Piazzale Ostiense and go along Via Marmorata until Largo Gelsomini. Once there turn left towards via Galvani. Via Mastro Giorgio is the second street on the right.
Take the CO.TRA.L bus near the Bus Arrivals to the “Anagnina” underground station, from which you should then take the underground to Roma Termini station. From here you can take the underground-line B (towards “Laurentina”) up to “Piramid"). From here go along Via Marmorata, turn left towards via Galvani. The apartment can be reached by car except on Friday and Saturday night. Street parking is available in the area around the flat (blue spaces). Located in Via Mastro Giorgio in the Testaccio area of Rome, close to such important historic sites as the Circus Maximus and the Bocca della Verità, the apartment lies just a short distance from Piramide metro station (Linea B) and is well served by the city bus service.
Between the 2nd and 3rd centuries BC, Testaccio was a port on the River Tiber, the place in which goods from all over the Roman Empire were landed having been brought up the River Tiber from the sea port of Ostia Antica.
Today Testaccio is an eclectic, rather bohemian area, an area in which the traditional Roman way of life lives side by side with innovation. One of the best examples of this blend is the MACRO Future gallery of contemporary art which is housed within a former meat market.
From Monday to Saturday the main square of the Testaccio area is occupied by a picturesque open air fruit, vegetable, herb and flower market, while the famous Sunday-morning Porta Portese flea market is also held just a short distance from the apartment.
Testaccio is also famous for its nightlife. Indeed some of the most fashionable bars and nightclubs in Rome are located in Via Monte Testaccio, a street which skirts the artificial mound of ancient pottery from which the Testaccio area takes its name. Some of the bars are dug into the ancient pottery hillside and it is possible to see fragments of ancient amphorae in their walls.
The apartment is located in an ideal position for visiting tourist attractions by day and enjoying the lively nightlife of Testaccio by night. The trattorias and restaurants of Testaccio are famous for their typical Roman cuisine.

This is a very nice and calm and well equipped apartment in a typical Roman house in Testaccio. Good shops and restaurants nearby. Buses and Metro just a few minutes away, ideal to enjoy and discover Rome.
We had a wonderful stay in Rome. A very nice place Testaccio, and while we were there the inhabitants of Testaccio had a yearly celebration with a lot of music all day and night on Piazza Terstaccio. And best of all no turists but us.
The apartment was very clean and ok, and if we had problems, we could get help at once.
Everybody is nice and helps whenever needed.
There are many people in Rome and it was nearly hopeless to see anything in the Sixtinske Chapel, but it was wonderfull to be in Pantheon.
My grandchildren thought is was a wonderfull week to.

This is a very nice and well equipped apartment in a Roman home. Good shops and restaurants nearby. Buses, Tram, Metro and Trains just a few minutes away, ideal to enjoy and discover the city.
We decided to make a 5 day trip to Rome just after Christmas. This apartment had a lovely bed room, the bathroom was large and there was a washing machine. The location was great-you can walk anywhere but also the bus line is just a couple of blocks away and the Metro at Piramide is a bit further but also an easy walk. The neighborhood was wonderful. The bar/coffee shop owners were friendly. We would highly recommend this apartment for a couple who might expect visitors to come.

Très bon rapport qualité prix, appartement un peu sombre pour la salle mais la chambre est éclairée. Quartier calme, plein de restaurants ,de petits supermarchés, boulangerie au pied de l'immeuble. Appartement confortable et très propre, accueil très gentil,
près du metro, station pyramide on est à 3 stations du Colisée, les bus sont encore plus prés.
Je recommande cet appartement , bien situé, dans un quartier calme (et pour goûter les spécialités italiennes sans se ruiner)!
