Church Of Santa Maria Della Pace is a tiny church famous for its cloister, one of Bramante’s greatest masterpieces.
It was named by pope Sisto IV, as a reward to a miraculous event which helped preserve peace in Italy during the 16th century, when war risked to break out between the Kingdom of Naples, Florence and the Duchy of Milan.
The façade is of the baroque jewels of Rome and was designed by Pietro da Cortona in the 17th century.
