Book the Borghese Gallery guided tour
The Borghese Gallery was once property of the noble Borghese family, this prestigious collection of art is hosted in the family’s beautiful 17th century villa nestled in Rome’s third largest public park.
The guide will shed light on the history and importance of the greatest masterpieces of the Borghese collection. You can see sculptures by Bernini, such as the famed “Apollo and Dafne”, and Canova’s “Venus Victrix”, a portrait of Paolina Borghese and the Galleria’s showcase piece. In the art gallery you’ll find works by some of the top painters from the early and late renaissance: the “Madonna and Child with St. Anne” and “Young Sick Bacchus” by Caravaggio, “Sacred and Profane Love” (Venus and the Bride) by Titian, and “The Disposition” by Raphael. At the end of the tour, we suggest a beautiful stroll from Villa Borghese to Via Veneto where you can relax in one of the historic cafés.
